I was looking forward to this for some strange reason. I have to admire Harmony Korine as a bullshit artist if nothing else to just screw around for the entire running time and not even bothering to have a story.

That was the main problem for me as no matter how many absurd situations and stuff that got smashed, it all got a bit samey after a while and the characters were exceptionally irritating on purpose with no explanation for their behaviour.

It did remind me of the footage from "Titicut Follies" from the 1960s (filmed in a mental institution), which I could only sit through 20 minutes worth before I got bored with it also. I can't really compare it with any other movies apart from teenagers filming themselves blowing things up in the "videotaping this crime spree is the best idea we've ever had" vein.

I am sure this film will have a long life as a cult movie, but I don't know if it will screen that widely so it might be hard to see.
