The Tale of Little Puppetboy (2008)

Director: Johannes Nyholm

Tagline: Damn you to hell tiny man!

In this series of four shorts a young bachelor tries to clean up his flat and makes a bigger mess, has a woman come over to watch a movie and has his plans for romance foiled by the tiny man who lives in his flat.

This endearingly clunky claymation short had a great setting and interesting characters and the animator has even made a life-sized costume of Puppetboy in response to the film's popularity.

I liked the way Puppetboy scuttles around and is always worrying about something or another. The tiny man is also very funny and never really explained in the shorts. A lot of the audience thought the woman character of Ulla was funny also.

I would love to see more adventures of the Puppetboy and will be looking out for more work from this animator in the future.
