Mite (2008)

Director: Karl Tebe

Tagline: Granny and the bugs

A man goes to see his grandma who has had a turn and hasn't been cleaning up after herself. He doesn't like the dust, but it seems the granny is keeping dust mites as pets and quite likes them. Later the dust mites turn giant and rampage through the town and the giant granny picks them up.

Live action stop motion combines with claymation for the dust mites very well so that the live actors can interact with things they normally wouldn't be able to do. I liked the Godzilla gag with the giant granny also.

A funny short that was well appreciated in the screening I saw it in.
