A Different Cut (2007)

Director: Fahim Ahad

Tagline: No radio puns!

A ham radio operator and war veteran calls for a doctor, only to be surprised when a young Muslim woman turns up at his door. When he calls to complain he is surprised to hear the same woman answer the phone (the nong!)

The man also has a very cute border collie who steals the show at one point. I did like the resolution of the story even though it was a bit unbelievable, but you didn't see it coming.

I thought the location was great and I thought the house was from the town I grew up in at first, but it just seemed to be a station-master's house in general.

The characters were very interesting and it was great seeing them interact in unusual ways. It was good to see Brett Swain in a short also as I haven't seen him for a while.
