Black Snake Blues
with Kerri Simpson, David Holmes Trio, Sure Shot Hunters After the disappointment of Black Snake Moan, I was looking forward to this gig to salvage something out of it at least. Kerri Simpson was setting up when I arrived and it was great to see her again as I had not seen her since Queenscliff last year. I hadn't seen the John Holmes trio before, but I enjoyed them and will look out for them in the future. The Sure Shot Hunters were another band that I had missed playing around town, but they were very popular with the audience and hopefully the video they shot during their set works out well. Hopefully MIFF will schedule more gigs in the future and I am looking forward to the Tom Budge gig in a couple of weeks time at the same venue.
