Another one of those shows that I always meant to go see, but never got around to when I had the money to go to more than a few shows at the comedy festival. I still remember when it only seemed like it had a few big names on the line up.

While you do get value for money in terms of the number of comedians, some of them had exceptionally poor judgment of both their material and the audience and stank up the room, leaving the following comedian with an uphill struggle to try and make an impact.

If anything seeing some of the performers made up my mind to definitely NOT see them case in point Claudia O'Doherty who thinks yelling is the way to tell a joke.

I enjoyed some of the non-stand up acts including Anna Pocket Rocket, Die Roten Punkte, Geraldine Quinn and the performances of Clairy Browne and the Bangin' Rackettes and was disappointed everyone ran for the exits when they were in the middle of singing their farewell song, it's not like you're going to turn into a pumpkin, slow down!

I was really glad to see Kim Hope at least as I could see her cartoon facial expressions even up in the balcony and I am sad that I missed her show this year.

It was good to have finally see it at least, but I don't know if I will go next year as I had more fun at the ASRC benefit at Trades Hall that weekend. I did run into a friend outside who went to the Mirrabel Foundation benefit at the HiFi Bar across the road the same night and enjoyed it.
