As the movie is one of my favourites for that has been released in the past few years, I decided to buy the soundtrack to tide me over until the special edition DVD is released with English language special features.

The soundtrack does have a lot of classic music pieces, but don't let that put you off. They are mixed in with some stunning original music that was composed for the movie and the whole thing comes together really nicely.

I really liked the presentation of the CD also. It is in a cardboard slipcase with the familiar diamond pattern from the movie on the front and back. The patterned wallpaper that features in the film is on the inside covers and the CD itself has another wallpaper pattern on it. It is more like an artwork than a usual CD.

My favourite piece of classic music from the movie was the Four Seasons Concerto. From the original music I liked Frantic the best, even though I wanted to listen to "Look Who's Talking" the most when I first bought this CD. I have already been asked to identify the track "Farewell, My Love" as someone wanted to know the music that was playing during a very emotional scene.

If you really liked the movie or enjoy hearing classic music mixed with contemporary pieces then I recommend this CD.
